They live on in most of the Earth's brightest humans. The purest neandrethal DNA is found in Basques people imo, especially the remote mountain folk. Neandrethal DNA started in North America and spread prehistorically in a circular pattern as seen from genetic mapping data. It gets weaker the further you get from North America. Looking at the pacific Islands for example.

what I know of the neanderthals came from the book and movie 'clan of the cave bear'. I had my DNA done by 23andme and I have 4.2 DNA of Neanderthal. They have an article about them. Most European modern man has some DNa in them. Blacks have very little if any. Cant remember about Asian dont think they do either. Mostly they lived around Germany through there. They think we just bred them into our gene pool. They now think they were more intelligent than modern man because of the larger brain.
