Police open fire on man with knife at Amsterdam airport

Dutch military police say they have shot a man with a knife at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam.

The man was threatening passengers at the airport, police said, adding that the situation was now under control.

In a tweet, the Marechaussee police service says the "situation is safe" and the suspect has been detained and removed from the scene. There were no reports of injuries

Watch the video of the cops running around the corner towards the Starbucks, and then you hear shots.

There are 2 people sitting there, facing away, and they don't event turn around to look when the shots are fired.

Why is that?
