Right then get this through your thick skulls, BITCOIN IS NOT BACKED BY NOTHING.
Bitcoin (and any other crypto currency for that matter) is backed by the high cost of the equipment (to mine) and the cost of the electricity. If cryptos could be mined without any cost they would be worthless !!!
It is called MINING for a fucking reason ! Why the fuck do you think that any ore is worth money ?? It's just either more or less abundant, exactly the same as cryptos, some blockchains canhandle more units, and with decimals and some can't.
Equipment = Processors (CPUs-GPUs)which default at a higher rate because they are always working at max, like equipment for mining ore, just that CPUs and GPUs can't really be serviced.
Electricity = Gasoline

Cryptos are backed by way much more than the USD, EUR or any other currency.

Should you invest in cryptos ? Yes for sure, because they are backed. Should you invest in every crypto ? NO because some don't take off, because not enough people mine them, because there will always be another crypto that is more worthwhile to mine (better ROI)
