A temporary investment for a "non-boring" future. One of the greatest powers that we can have is self-control. Even more so when it is absolute. There is a feeling that absolute self-control leads to a "boring" life. Even the thought of "boring-ness" must be overcome. Nothing is boring. It is only our conditioned perceptions which claim things to be. It is ok to be "boring"! (This thought has been engraining itself into my mind over the past week.) Being temporarily "boring" is just a major investment in a "non-boring" future. I wouldn't recommend it forever, but temporary absolute self-control is mastery over the internal, and external. There is only so much addiction within. Even an addiction to a "non-boring" life... Sometimes we gotta "batter down the hatches" to get shit done. Know what I'm saying? Ha. I've started trying something since my Jerusalem trip. Instead of telling myself or others what my plans are, in almost all regards, I'm just going to do "my plans". An example: By saying I'm going to stop this or that for a certain amount of time, I'm in a way testing the unconscious to stop me. If I have "big plans" this can also be true. I would like to think that perhaps the unconsciousness of the world can only attempt to overthrow my plans if they are expressed externally. I am practicing with this theory. So far so good...
