Like I've said, fossil record is combined with D.N.A, Embryology, Bone Structure, and a billion other things to make a full picture. Fossils alone are only one piece of the big puzzle of evolution.

The evolution of early fish is a very good example imo. You can see it go from very basic, worm-like fish to jawless, armored fish and then armored, finned fish, and from there on...

Pikaia is a early fish that is very similar to lanclets of today, and had no fins or armor, and still had no backbone, only a notachord.


Haikouichthys and Myllokunmingia live slightly after Pikia, and are still extremely similar to Pikia, but their vague, undeveloped head now has eyes, and a jawless mouth instead of tentacles. Still, no fins, no backbone, no jaws.


Arandaspis appears a few million years later, and is very similar to our previous fish, but one exception. It's grown a large plate of armor on it. A bit of a backbone is starting to appear, but it's still finless and jawless.

Astraspis appears almost immediately after, similar to Arandaspis but instead now having traces of sensory organs on it's skin near the skull. Still jawless and finless.

Cephalaspis is next, and is similar to Astraspis, but now has FINS! Hurray, fish have grown fins for the first time....only took until the Siluran Period ;)

I'll continue on the simplified fish fossil record soon, but soon both modern fish, sharks, and tetropodomorphs willa appear...

Evolution is considered one of the most well supported theories in science, only behind some such as Cell Theory and the Theory of Gravity. Arguing is mute my Australian friend ;)

A theory in science is an explanation behind an event based on evidence. So yes...

Archosaurs alone are proof of evolution, let alone the early fish record, D.N.A, lab and field experiments, embryos, and bones.

For example, birds are genetically closer to Alligators than Lizards and vice versa, but thats not enough to prove alone. The fossil record backs it up by implying they share a close common ancestor, their embryos are extremely similar, and so is their bone structures.

DNA mathematically/chemically dictates every species reproduces according to it's kind, to maintain their specific role in maintaining the equilibrium of the biosphere.

Science is simple, easily observed, measured, documented, stupid contradictory theories are impossible to prove, they only send disoriented minds to chasing the winds of their beloved illusions.

The left skull is a normal chicken embryo, the middle skull is a chicken embryo with it's DISABLED GENES re-activated, and the furthest right an alligator head. It's clear that they are quite closely related to one another.
