Why is that a negative idea to suggest competition?

I did not suggest competition was a negative idea and agree with Ron on competing currencies. Ron is right to point out that the dollar is no longer backed up by precious metals and we are just printing money out of thin air. But then he goes on to promote Bitcoin which is not backed by anything.

So on one hand I agree with him on competing currencies and Bitcoin. On the other how does he reconcile promoting a currency that is not backed by anything?

Everything happening is supposed to happen. The U.S. dollar will no longer be the reserve currency. This is for our own good as all those countries who pegged to the dollar were robbing us blind. Today we go onto a new platform. Watch what happens next

I think he is right to some extent.
