You would not know by this morning's temps, which are once again below zero and the windchills which are once again in the minus 20+ category. We know this is the final day because of the weather channels tell us that this is the final day and night and tomorrow, this freeze fest is over and we are back to seasonal temps, which are average low 30's during the day and teens at night. Dear people, we have not even seen highs outside the single digits for most of this time. But here is the amazing thing. If I did not know that tomorrow was a new day, so to speak, I would still be able to tell by the animals outside. Despite absolutely NO change in any parameters, including pressure and humidity, the birds are out in full force and the feral cats have been running around outside just before dawn, looking like they are playing! I haven't seen them like this since the freeze began. Once or twice, I have seen one at high noon to 2pm when it's been the warmest - like 3 degrees. Never two wild cats running around on the asphalt right as the sun rises over the horizon. There is much more to Gods little creatures than what we think. I bet they have a direct line right to God! |
