nutmeg User ID: 74789295 United States 01/07/2018 12:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This friend of mine promised to pay his debt to me in one month. I didnt hear about him, he deleted and blocked me from his facebook friend list. Quoting: Loner30 I GAVE $600 to a neighbor who asked me to loan him money. He asked that I don't tell his wife. I never did. I told him he didn't have to give it back, but that he could pay me back by doing work in return.. that he wash and wax my car (a little Taurus at the time.) That was in 2007. Never did a thing for me. Nothing. I reminded him once then gave up. I figured out he's just a loser. By the way...I'm as old as his parents and he's perfectly capable of doing that work. He does it for a living at a body shop. Last Edited by nutmeg on 01/07/2018 12:52 PM |

Make it a gift in your mind and don't expect it back. If they give you a gift back, fine. Otherwise that's fine too. |

When it comes to friends and family, consider your lost loan the price you paid for valuable information. And that information is that the person isn't worth a shit and can't be trusted. In the case of a business acquaintance, then take legal action. In the case of a "street-level" loan, you need to send a clear message if you get my drift. |

I might GIVE money. But I NEVER loan it. This. If someone needs to borrow money, that means they likely can't pay it back. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76077911 United States 01/07/2018 01:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Every friend who ever walked out on a loan from me was exiled, and sooner or later they ended up miserable or in serious trouble with other entities (IRS, Banks, Police). Karma has its way. Even had a few come crawling back asking for another loan to cover the loan of another loan type BS, the maniacal laughter they got from me was worth the small amount of money I paid to them. To this day they are forsaken, always in and out of problems. They are now dead to me and they know it. However I somehow prospered ten fold. |
