New World Order: Teacher cuffed and BOOKED, after questioning superintendent's pay raise

She's just upset that the culmination of her life's work equates to $40k in the marketplace. She's free to relocate, gain new and/or better skills, or become Superintendent herself. Of course she would rather bitch and be disorderly instead. Simple idiot.

Speak. Walk slow. Disorderly conduct is an observational charge and solely depends on the view of the arresting officer. Doesn't mean it will stand in court but I am very sure nothing will happen to this guy. There are parliament procedures in place for elected board meetings like this one. I assume she was arrested for speak g without being formally recognized. So unfortunately these guys are probably well within their rights to be assholes. The way you beat this is at election time. If you, as a school board, just pissed off all your teachers and parents then you will be done at the following election. I would expect to hear this superintendent being dismissed after next election period if not sooner.

She knew the salary issues when she went to college to become a teacher...

The whole point is some teachers are finally getting sick and tired of the high ups getting 12-18% raises on top of their already high salaries when there are cutbacks, layoffs and raises for teachers (if any) amount to some measly 1.5%.

Fuck that....

No, I am the person who gets up in meetings like this and rip the incompetent boards, councils and commissions new assholes... and get arrested and/or forcibly removed because of it.

For almost 6 of those years I was elected to a county utility commission and was removed from my own commission meetings several times while trying to stop the other commissioners from stealing.

I have also been forcibly removed from polling locations when I was on the ballot. I have been arrested for campaigning door to door. Arrested for conducting petition drives. I was so notorious for standing up against incompetence and corruption that the police were always on standby at any meeting I was at... and followed me in their cars whenever I was out campaigning or doing petitions.

So don't give me any shit about my background... I talk the talk and walk the walk far more than anyone else on GLP.

There was clearly some fuckery going on during that meeting. It was not conducted properly or even remotely professionally. Having either participated in meetings like that or attended in the audience I can tell a railroad job when I see one.

This was not about whether the teacher is over paid, it was not about any meeting she attended before that. It was about how these elected officials go about their business... that lady did nothing that justified the way she was treated.

Here is a key point that seems to be overlooked:

According to the teacher, the superintendent was not elected to his position, he was placed there by insiders.

She stated if he ran for the position and was elected then he would have the right to give himself a raise within the contractual guidelines.
