an enchanting realization.

The verdant light at the end of the tunnel,
an ideal concept.
A quieting madness that calms my lonely remorseful soul.
I whisper eloquently and softly,
deciphering every word,
you can take me in.
I’ll let you know that I’m always here,
you wake knowing that I’ve always been.
Somehow, the echoes of the past,
will resonate today.
A surreal encounter,
an infinite embrace,
a craving for something that just wasn’t there.
An emptiness that is indescribable.
Someway our mysterious journey will have a destination.
We walk into the unknown,
I can feel your presence here with me.
A universe away,
yet just over your shoulder.
The dragon claws at my humanity,
a quiver, a shudder,
I’m drawn back to earth through the warmth of your touch.
Somehow, you’ll cleanse these cumbersome burdens that I carry.
I am an eclipse coming through the door,
bound by destiny,
I cry myself back to sleep.
An ideal time,
an ideal place,
we are broken together.
