It was 97 degrees here the other day, with a constant 20 mph wind. I don't know if i've ever experienced that before. The wind gave no relief to the heat, but it was whippin'. REally strange.

Last night we had thunderstorms come in, bringing constant thunder and lightning it was pretty awesome, uploading a video of it

Lots of lightening and thunder with that storm.
For the SoCal mountains today 75 for today's high with a chance of thunder storms layer in the day but rarely ever like the on in your video.

Volcano Eruption in Indonesia on June 02 2019 05:30 PM (UTC).

Mount Merapi by Indonesia's cultural capital of Yogyakarta spewed ash columns up to 3,000 meters into the sky over the weekend, local media reported on Sunday (June 2). Indonesia's Geological Disaster Research and Development Centre said that by Saturday the country's most active volcano had emitted 72 ash columns from its crater since it started showing signs of forming ash columns and spewing incandescent lava in late January, state news agency Antara reported.

Agency head Hanik Humaida said that - based on the ash-column activity - the volcano's lava dome could potentially cause a lava avalanche of 458,000 cubic meters in the volume that would move up to 3km from the crater toward the river Gendol. The agency also reported multiphase and low-frequency tremors occurring at the crater of the volcano, which is a popular hiking spot on the border of Yogyakarta and Central Java provinces...

Aleutians Volcanic Activity Summary: A small steam explosion at 21:40 AKDT June 1 (5:40 UTC June 2) was detected at Great Sitkin Volcano in local seismic data. No corresponding signal was seen in regional infrasound data or cloudy satellite observations. Low-level seismic activity was elevated just before and after the event. In response to this activity, AVO is raising the Aviation Color Code YELLOW and Alert Level to ADVISORY. ...

Tornado in Canada on June 03 2019 03:14 AM (UTC).


Residents of an Orleans neighborhood described seeing a funnel cloud and hearing what sounded like a train Sunday before a tornado ripped trees out of the ground and damaged homes and cars. Several residents of the Chatelaine Village neighborhood north of Place d'Orleans said they only received an emergency alert on their phone after the storm was over - and that the warning was about a possible tornado in Gatineau. Environment Canada said late Sunday that preliminary information indicates the tornado was a Category EF-1 and may have been on the ground for more than 30 minutes....

Sunday east Bakersfield saw the 5th ever recorded tornado at 5:19 PM. It was just east of Mt. Vernon and Hwy 58.
Viewer Sadie Spring caught an image of the EF-0 tornado.
There's a 20% chance for more T-storms in E.
