I guarantee you if we had public hangings for violent offenders, once a month in every city across the country(when needed, violent crime would almost cease. And by that, I mean not talking about self defense. There are lots of crimes where the perpetrator(s) can and will be rehabilitated, but senseless violence is not one of them. They ALWAYS do it again at some point. Better to save the money and use it for the people you can actually help and get rid of the defective ones, while making an example of them.
