Quoting: Eyeball These murders were pretty spread out in different areas. In most inner cities criminals will usually kill other criminals. In these cases, the victims were signled out and executed. They were not victims caught in a crossfire or anything like that, they were executed. They were not robbed, no items were stolen, they were just murdered. Even the loop has its share of robberies. The murder zones are primarily located in the heavy gang territories, which include the west and south side neighborhoods. The near south side in the Bridgeport neighborhood is relatively safe. So are most neighborhoods on the north and northwest sides. However there have been armed robberies with semi automatic weapons in Bucktown recently. I would not want to be on the west side from Halsted to Oak Park Av any time of day or night. The Englewood neighborhood just west of the Dan Ryan Expressway at 79th is also a no-go zone. I live and teach in Chicago. I see first hand the effects this violence has on the kids. They're street smart ghetto brats with an attitude put upon themselves for survival. Everybody is angry at each other and they fly off the handle in a second. I can't take much more of the abuse I get from these kids. I will not be back next year. That's at least three generations like that now. Daley came in at 1955. Murders tripled by 1970 to a peak of about 950 "listed" in 1974(heroin wars). Another 950 or so in 1992(crack wars). Many years of 800+ in between all those years. It's probably averaging about 700+ for the last 50 years. IT'S A RACKET. |

Northwest side and a couple smaller neighboords on the south sides like Bridgeport are all city workers. All the cops and firemen making 70k a year or more, the streets and sanitation guys making 50-60 a year..etc. These are great neighborhoods. Anyone getting shot in these areas is very rare. Put it this way. Lived in the city my entire life on the Northwest Side. I"ve never been robbed, never been assaulted, never seen a gun, or even heard a gun shot in my entire life. I'm 37. Only two of these were on the NW Side and there was an arrest of an 18 year old in the Alvin Stoll case. Try Google. It is telling that Bridgeport- which does experience a number of murders every year- is the only neighborhood you know. Beverley, Mt. Greenwood, Clearing, Garfield Ridge, etc? Two, perhaps three of the victims aren't white. Two of the shootings weren't drive-bys. The vehicle descriptions are different. Two were caught in crossfire of gang bangers shooting at one another. The shootings were all over the city- white neighborhoods, Latino neighborhoods, Black neighborhoods, mixed neighborhoods. Alvin Stoll was a wannabe gang banger. An 18 year-old was arrested for his murder. One of the others looks like a banger too. You weirdos and your Chicago crime fan fiction are sheer perversity. That is the problem it was not like this when they had to pay severally for their crimes such as these OP listed. There is no real restraint to their ways that would make them think about the penalty for doing it before they do it. It has went down hill since the restraint of severe verdicts were removed. It has been increased with the flooding in of illegals and legals as well as drugs and their dealers. No normal human being would qualify for the death sentence, you would have to do something very hideous like murder to get it. I say thin down their herds and save the normal ones lives.
