After interviewing the girl, investigators contacted her parents, 57-year old David Allen Turpin and 49-year old Louise Anna Turpin at the home from which the teen escaped.

You're ignoring that 7 of those "kids" are over 18, some in their late 20s. Now look again at those pictures and tell me how recent you think they are. Either those are old pictures, or those older kids have been so malnourished for such a long time that they are the size of young teenage girls
