As it is a real time system, analyze the past time and you will see meteors traces as VERTICAL SIGNALS over this frequency. The wider the vertical line, the bigger the response of meteors falling, wich scatters radar pulses around 55.24 Mhz. |

Based on elementary theories about radar ranging (WW2 like) can't provide a 3D position of meteors, but the system can detect them and also tell the distance from the radar pulse transmiter (not shown). It would need a secondary radio signal to trace 3D coordinates but, still, it's telling a LOT and in real time. Read the comments on the real time chat! |

The "pong" signals of this primitive radar (works on an allowed free frequency) are represented on the vertical axis. You have to watch EVENTS around the central frequency of 54.02 Mhz. The timeline is vertical (as in The Matrix). If there is a direct on indirect "pong" it will be registered as an EVENT on the vertical line centered on 54.02 Mhz. The greater the "meteor" the wider and longer (frequency) the "pong" will be represented. Very primitive (WWII tech) but highly effective, specially because the VHF frequency allows a longer coverage (in distance and depth). |
