Just imagine a world in the Dark Ages where everything is clouded with government of Theocracy. We don't want that again. The Gomerite Objective basically says, "To hell with superstition, let's figure out what we are made of!" And they were responsible for the Renaissance of knowledge, so what's wrong with that? Nothing, as long as EVERYONE gets a shot at it - Do ya think? |

Like space travel for "civilians" I expect those with a shot at Xtreme longevity may well be "select & Xtremely priviledged" the rest of us will be like the displaced of New Orleans (a modern example of selective selection :-) |

The theory is 99% of the sheeple soon disregard "side effect caveats" due to continuous saturation of the message (de-senitive of the sense) combined with the enticement of the possible "cure" for what ails. I expect a promised cure for "death" is especially attractive - "What have you got to lose anyway." Finding out if it worked - well you have to wait a long time to find out - the perfect snakeoil foil :-) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 166378 Canada 04/29/2007 08:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What a great depopulation strategy - voluntarily line up to get the "immortality shot"...... only to find out later, it "sometimes" has side effects. C Consult your physician or doctor before deciding that immortality is suited for you. Don't delay - supplies are limited. |
