Amazon's Jeff Bezos and wife had a pyramid on their table at dinner. Can someone explain?

I was a waiter and bartender in Seattle during the late 1990's up until 2001. I worked at private clubs and high end restaurants. The Gates family would come in as well as Jeff Bezos in addition to people from Vulcan Ventures (Paul Allen) and many of the other tech companies CEO's such as Nintendo.

This was an exciting time in Seattle and you could feel the buzz of excitement because the tech stocks were soaring and money was everywhere. After serving a few glasses of wine I overheard some very interesting conversations as you can imagine. One time I overhead a stock tip and put all my money in savings on this one biotech stock and it doubled within a week.

Anyway, one time that Jeff Bezos and his wife came in I was their waiter and they had a gold pyramid on their table that they had mysteriously carried in with them. It was about 5 inches high at it's peak. Before I served their food I saw Jeff holding it with both hands and he seemed to be focusing intently on it. I never asked about it.

Jeff was always very pleasant to the wait staff and he would laugh at jokes that were at his expense. One thing I have noticed about billionaires is that they love being the subject of jokes because I guess everyone else kisses their asses and is too afraid of offending them.

So was the pyramid some Illuminatti thing or what? This story is 100% true and I swear it on my life.
