Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76233609 Steve Tyler and Mick Jagger are fairly obvious, but I'm thinking the van Halen "brothers" and that fairy, David Lee Trans-Roth? And, "Brucetta" Springsteen, natch! No Tranny stories ! I saw Van Halen in 1984 in Indianapolis , they were So messed up that They Sucked . and David Lee Roth's gotten more Leg than a toilet seat... Dace User ID: 75476427 United States 02/10/2018 04:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My dad was neighbor and friend to Stevie Ray when he was younger...they learned to play guitar and were in a few early bands together. Quoting: Dace Myself...never got a chance to meet him before he died. ...other than that...back in the early 90's I delivered pizzas to the members of 'Firehouse' and 'Tesla'....fuckers didn't tip. And around the same time in Branson, Missouri, Roy Clark smoked half a joint with me outside the side door of his theater before his show started. Awe Man Your Dad must be a Card , Stevie Ray Wow , what a Guitar Player He was... And Tesla ...Wow , who would have thought Ole Roy Clark was a Head... Dad 'was' a card at one point....when I was young he had a cherry red vintage 'Chuck Berry' Gibson... He could and CAN still play to rival Stevie.. you can close your eyes and couldn't tell the difference. BUT...he became a brainwashed pentecostal religitard YEARS ago.....traded in his Gibson for a cheap 12-string acoustic so he could strum Kumbaya shit in his po-dunk country church band. To him Stevie is 'Devil's music' now......what a waste. |

Was a boy 7 yeas old returning from town home with my grandfather who was a country singer who had a no.1 billboard hit in the sixties. He Lived outside Nashville in Hendersonville. Going down the country road in a huge Lincoln town car, we spotted a man walking down the road. Grandpa pulled up along side and shouted "Johnny why are you walking?" The Man in Black Mr.Johnny Cash walked up to the window and said, "Ah hell. Got in a fight with June on the way home last night and I threw My shit out the window." My grandpa suggested that he sit on the fender and we would ride slow while he looked for his "shit". He Obviously found it and the two of them spent the evening getting smashed in my grandpas home studio. Johnny lived about five houses away. Looking back at the time all these things seemed so routine but now rather surreal. Roy Orbison lived across the street. He looked so funny walking to his mailbox in a black robe and sunglasses! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75713157 United States 02/10/2018 05:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Had pizza and drank beer with Alice in Chains on their tour bus outside a concert at the Summit in Houston in Sept of 1992. I heard the Dirt album on the bus about 3 weeks before it was released. Layne Staley ended up introducing me to Zakk Wylde who played for Izzy Osbourne at the time. Ozzy was the headliner. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71052509 I also spent time meeting and talking to Megadeth and Aerosmith at a show the next year in The Woodlands, Tx. Ozzie's 'No More Tours' tour, correct? I saw them the same year in an outdoor venue in Missouri. Layne was in a wheelchair with a cast on his leg during the performance.....Ozzie was the headliner and opening act was 'Blind Melon'. I managed to score 2nd row center stage tickets. (was deaf for a few days afterwards). Most memorable moments was a drunken (or drugged out) Ozzie announced before his last song "The Craziest Motherfucker in the audience gets a backstage pass!" 'No More Tears' started as I looked behind me to see the entire crowd rushing to storm the stage. I was like holy shit oh fuck as I got crushed in a human tidalwave. I wanted to try and climb the stage, too, but people were packed so tight that my arms were pinned at my sides and I couldn't personally move, just sway with the surge... About that time security grabbed a naked woman that had happened to make it onstage and launched her back into the crowd.....she landed on my head, sprained my neck and broke my glasses. ....good times. That was the one! Ozzy is doing No More Tours Part 2 around the country this year. He's 70 so this will be his last go round. I will go see him one last time in September. |

Went back to the hotel and hit the hot tub with more beer. Decided it was time for bed and headed back to the room when I bumped into the band returning to the hotel. We started talking in the elevator and next thing I know we are being invited to their suite for a poker game. They had a real poker table set up in the swuite and we set down to play. I only had a hundred bucks on me but they all started with thousands. We had a riot and the shots were flying. I was winning and having the time of my life. Next thing I remember is waking up on their couch in the early morning. There was over $800 on the table in front of the seat I was using the night before with a note that said "thanks for playing - don't forget to take your winnings when you go"! I must have passed out at the table and they tucked me away on the couch. Great guys! I took my money, left a thank you note, and quietly left the room... Good times |

When she was done and everyone but a few of her friends left, they started parting and asked me to join them. We partied til morning. I knew Adam Levine when he was a toddler. Also I'm good friends, for about 30 years, with the band Little Feat. When I go to my friends house you never know who you will run into there. I've run into Bob Dylan, Emmy Lou Harris, Jackson Brown, Steven Stills, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, and a lot of other musicians there. Oh I forgot I was invited by the Black Eyed Peas to hang out with them, but I had other plans. I painted something called a scrim for one of their music videos. I think they were a little surprised I turned them down. There are probably others that I am forgetting. |

We drove the premier for the Memphis Bell, and I spent two days with the entire cast. Tate Dunnovant, Mathew Modine, Billy Zane (and a few others I can’t remembe). They were surprisingly very cool. Took me into the private showing with them, to dinner (and a couple of bars after), breakfast and lunch. Had a blast. Also got to drive Priscilla Presley (she was an absolute bitch), Hank Williams Jr. (friendly, but somewhat aloof), and Dollie Parton (super friendly) during that time. Best ride was the CEO for Gulf States Paper who also happened to be the largest American Art collector in the world. Got to know them pretty well, and he inspired me to get to where I am today (along with my father). That was a very cool job.
