Maybe the government was testing a new anti-matter weapon or a rail-gun...?

That's the best option thus far. A warning shot in a sparsely populated zone that impacted enough large trees to make a point.

This is rather odd. I live slightly North of there in South Coastal BC. The weather hasn't been bad at all. This is odd. Directed energy weapon perhaps? There was a weird energy 'burst' that wasn't an EQ. Anyhow it's not a very long video. I could see hemlocks falling over for no reason, but not Douglas Firs.

Tunguska
 Quoting: beeches

Yes, you are on right on. In the photos of Tunguska, the trees looked the same, splintered. It had to be some kind of focused energy to break them up that way.

Look at the way the trees are splintered. Wind could never have done that so thinly. I live in tornado country and have seen trees splintered by tornados but they are thicker splinters and not thin ones like in this person's video. They were almost slivered. Sure would love to know what kind of energy created this destruction! Please post more if anyone finds out any further info on this situation.

The only time I've seen first-hand firs break like that was after Hurricane Hugo in the forests outside Charleston.

Are there any reasonable explanations being offered?

An enormous craft landed, bending/snapping the trees as it went down. Only logical explanation.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34205266

No, because they would have noticed some gigantic landing-pad footprints near these broken trees.. plus no (geometrical) pattern in the position of these trees

I like this mistery. I would like to see more pictures..

Isn't "Red Flag" still going on? If you look at the seismic activity that day, there's multiple small disturbances across the NW. This was a weapons test.

He said that there was a burst of energy that happened and didn't last long.

That is called a downburst where I'm from and they do happen. It most definitely could take the trees out like that.

The guy in the video is making much ado about something that happens in nature. If he was the studied up expert he claims to be he would know that.

I was thinking the same thing. The directed energy weapon (space weapon) doesn't seem to affect trees it only acts on steel brick and stuff like that. The fires in California left trees pretty much untouched.

Most definitely an electrical event.

Other trees were unaffected by any wind damage.

Doug firs had the best ground causing the h2o in their

trunks to explode.

It is an odd episode for sure. Hence I can't stop pondering it. I can look out my window and see 600+ year old Douglas Firs and can't for the life of me figure out how they would suddenly snap at the base.
For those who do not live in this area, those trees are massive and ancient. If/when they snap it will be the upper portions only. They get topped periodically by the wind for certain. It is the place they snapped off on that that is weird. It doesn't make sense.

Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.

17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.

22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76197297

Holy saggey titties .

25 he will cometh in da night during your unmentionables .like a thief on acid he shall bring forth great trumpets and shit like that, and cause constinations and baffledge as he bloweth down the mighty tree he madeth with his mighty hand.
26 people will tell of it later , puzzlement and confusion shall fill the minds of man/women/lesbian/transgender .

Re: Why Did 100 Douglas Firs 'Break'?
I had one of my "et" encounters not too far from there. It was on the shore of Lake Ozette on January 11, 2001, full moon, comfortable weather.

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

The Forest Rangers were total meanies. They hassled me over taking pictures!!! In the background was full throttled heavy equipment and chainsaws buzzing as the National Forest was being harvested but, my camera was a problem? That night the ets came for me and were surprised to see me in such a mess. They had to replace my transponder which was recently damaged by a MRI.

I suppose the ships may at times not notice the trees and simply have come upon them until they snap. A possibility or it may simply be a message!

Once, when they came to my house for a visit, they parked the ship right outside my window at 5280 Diamond Dr. Prescott, AZ. There were a bunch of extraterrestrials running around the house checking stuff out opening and closing the doors playing with the dog and whatever. I was way too busy with my government installed false hypnotic suggestions to even notice but, it really freaked me for a second until I told myself what the psychotic, lying, malpracticing, government funded hypnotherapist told me: "There is no such thing, they don't exist, it was only a dream..." etc, etc.

Doom is here.

Just speculation, of course..
