Why Did 100 Douglas Firs 'Break'? | |

Quoting: Lancifer Perhaps, I've seen alders 'explode' like that, but never a mature Douglas Fir nor Western Red Cedar for that matter... I was thinking the same thing. The directed energy weapon (space weapon) doesn't seem to affect trees it only acts on steel brick and stuff like that. The fires in California left trees pretty much untouched. It is an odd episode for sure. Hence I can't stop pondering it. I can look out my window and see 600+ year old Douglas Firs and can't for the life of me figure out how they would suddenly snap at the base. For those who do not live in this area, those trees are massive and ancient. If/when they snap it will be the upper portions only. They get topped periodically by the wind for certain. It is the place they snapped off on that that is weird. It doesn't make sense. Maybe some device pre-weakened them. Then a concussion-impact (device?) knocked them over. Just speculation, of course.. What the hell is powerful enough to snap many a huge Doug Fir right at its base? ... An orbiting & fully-charged mega-capacitor? Or an assisting relay-satellite in orbit (re-directing a charge from Earth)? I have no doubt that in reality the future will be vastly more surprising than anything I can imagine. Now my own suspicion is that the Universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose. J.B.S. Haldane |
