It's not the guns, it's social media.

AMEN!!! Kids get vicious and cruel on the net...like gangs. I can only imaging the posts on line to/at him on the sites....then everyone seems dismayed when they "go off".

Sites like facebook etc need to be moderated or something, it gets very personally vicious on there...a generation of self absorbed, irresponsible and immature monsters...

It's funny how you will never hear about the cause of these shootings, only about the weapons. It isn't about the weapons.

You won't hear about the social media involvement because the people who make money from these sites have significant interest in the media outlets.

Social Media is used for Bullying, Bragging, or Selling. Our kids get wrapped up in this without even realizing that they are being manipulated.

Schools need to develop special cell phones for students that have these features:

1. If the student is walking,riding,or driving, the screen will go blank and the phone will not work. Dialing 911 would be an exception.

2. No internet access, no cameras, no video, no apps.

3. Only phone numbers on a restricted list approved by parents can be dialed.

4. It is possible to set up cell antennas around the school that will only allow the special cell phones to work and block any smartphones the kids may bring from home.

The kids would have a phone they can use for emergencies, or to call approved numbers.

This solution is a lot cheaper and more effective than trying to ban firearms.
