WTF is going on? Multiple Dog Food Brands recalled... Pentobarbital

Haven't seen anything on Purina Alpo Variety Snaps, but ... Just got a new box and my dog just bites them and spits it all out. She's practically lived on these before now, sometimes would turn down real beef or chicken for the biscuits.

Had a dream that we were in some sort of disaster situation, war, or insurrection, and the highlight was me noticing that my dog was acting like she was sick. I felt her nose, looked her over, and then I woke up.

Right now, she begs for a treat, takes one, crumbles it up, and spits it out. She's really a smart dog, and picky about what she eats, not one to eat everything she sees. Something has changed.

immerikans greedy by nature....wanting to make MORE and MORE money in their greedy little pockets they'll poison anything and anyone....just matter of fact nowadays.

Who hates dogs? Muslims, Chinese, and who else? Hmm

over 10 years ago, my dog developed seizures and then died (in the US)

I researched and easily found out that the dog food companies were using euthanized pets in the food

Including the drugs

I have been feeding my dogs a raw diet (from Raw Meaty Bones by zoo diet specialist and veterinarian Dr. Tom Lonsdale)
from the grocery store ever since

Finally getting some traction after a long 10 years.

Wonder how many animals suffered in the interim?

your dog has the same digestive system as a wolf

it just needs raw bones and a small amount of meat on the bone

the phosphorous and calcium ratio is very very important which is why it should be mostly bones

they don't need any grains or vegetables at all

My dogs eat raw chicken carcasses (after the meat is cut off), chicken drumsticks sometimes (raw), cheese, cottage cheese, liver, chicken necks, green tripe, rabbit, possum, eggs

you can feed the whole animal (rabbit) and let the dog figure it out

all bones need to be raw or they will splinter and hurt your dog

no heavy weight bearing bones like femurs from cattle--they are much too hard and your dog will break his teeth

My dogs turn their nose up at Gravy Train and Skippy. Their nose must tell them. Quit buying Ol roy years ago. Never bought KnB.

The brands you listed are scary in the first place...I can't understand any pet owner feeding their pets these brands today..

People should never feed this crap to their pets in the first place. Look at the ingredients MINUS the toxins. There is a reason it is cheap.

I can't even get mine to eat dry dog food, it's been sitting there for a month now. lol, I buy fresh food and he doesn't touch it. He tries hide it with his nose, like blanket is there. He does that to all the dry dog food that I have gotten him. And I have tried different varieties to see which ones he might like, but he doesn't budge. He will not touch the food. lol And he hates Rachel's Rays food. Her commercials lie. Not all dogs like her crap. lol

Old GLP user '535' told us they would be poisoning dog food. Oh, and poisoning people too.

I have to give it to my dog twice a day for seizures.

My dog is very healthy at age 15 plus.

she did get sick, and it has been treated and healed.

the vet says she is very healthy

No heartworm medication, just one time

no vaccines that I can avoid.


and dog food made locally by people we trust.

biggest change in her was when no gluten happened....that alone made a huge difference.

Fresh Pet! Awesome stuff. Made my dog's last days much better. Too bad I fed him crap years before as I didn't know better.

An added bonus...your dog's poop won't stink...I kid you not. If your dog's crap smells rancid, like most dog's, then something wrong on the inside.

They are getting animals that are old and sick and have been put down with those drugs and grinding them up for dog food. The drugs are still in the deceased animals systems.

Please always bury your pets. If you leave your euthanized pet at the vet, some vets give the bodies to rendering and they in turn turn them over to pet food factories. If you cremate, think the ashes you get are that of your pet, not always so.

Purina, Pedigree, Iams, Hills Science Diet.... all those major brands and the even cheaper brands have been known to use rendered meats in their food. This includes euthanized animals. This has been going on for decades and the FDA allows it!

That is where the Pentobarbital comes from.

Do not be fooled by their commercials. They are all crap.

There are very few brands of kibble that can be trusted to not contain rendered meats, like Orijen and Acana(Same company makes both), the Honest Kitchen.

Even many brands that claim to use human grade food are not very trustworthy, like Blue Buffalo. It is crap.

The best food for dog or cat is a raw food diet. There are many commercially prepared raw food diets to make it simple to feed.

Sad that people feed that dry food sh*t to their pets.

Yeah, then it goes off to a slurry factory which mixes in road kill and euthanized pets. How else would that crap get into pet food?

You're better off making your own pet food from human grade meats and organic carrots, apples, etc. So much healthier.

All of those brands make junk food for dogs, basically. Unhealthy any way you slice it.

Cook for yourself "out of scratch" and share it with your dog - just us our ancestors always did in the past 10 thousand years.
I did, and she lived 15 years without major health issues

And stay away from vets when ever you can. No shots etc
