It was a brush fire due to very high winds, just North of Bishop California. Its up to 900 acres now. I live 30 miles north of Bishop. There is an incoming cold storm. It kicked up winds up to 80 mph very erratic wind from all directions. Very cold storm with not much precipitation . 3 years ago in Feburary we lost 17 houses to a brush fire. With these crazy winds fire goes so quick not much you can do but get out of the way. Even in the middle of winter.
The fire should be out soon as the winds have died and its below freezing .
