My son's break up vs college athlete is a perfect example of what's wrong!
My son is a 20-year-old college sophomore. He is an engineering major. He will be a junior next year and actually going to graduate in four years in a five-year program unless his courses don't sequence right.

So, he and his girlfriend broke up. She has been cheating on him with a third-year med student. Broke up with him via text. Her own mother castigated her for this rude, childish behavior. She texted him: I have no feelings for you and I want to break up. His reply: Okay, well, I hope you have a good life. It's been nice being with you. Good luck.

She has bad mouth him a little, but he takes the high road. He started back to Muay Thai and is looking at getting his multiengine rating now that he's not "spending money on dates and stuff."

Super chill, took a girl to lunch today and is making friends with her, seeing where it leads. But in no rush to date. They both love horses and ride together. So, he's chill as fuck about this break-up.

Now keep in mind, he and this other little gal have dated for two-plus years. And his reactions have been just super cool. He admitted he was a little heartbroken, but it was okay because she wasn't the right girl, his words.

Here's the kicker. He's in a college course with a student-athlete who is on suspension for beating up a girl he's been on three dates with---count 'em one, two, three. Said student-athlete is being handled with kid gloves by the school for two reasons in my summation: He's black and he's an athlete.

My son handled his shit like a man after two years with a girl he's known since he was thirteen-years-old. This other kid beats a girl for not wanting to date him after three dates.

There's some fucked up shit coming down and it's like my son said, "it's the drugs, legal and illegal. It's the media hall pass non-whites get.(Keep in mind his rodeo buddy is Wes Snipes/Charlie Murphy black) And it's the lack of fathers." He also said, if this guy was on the rodeo team or ROTC, he'd be in jail. And he's right.

I know for a fact it did because her dad and I shoot and golf together. He said, she blew a gasket because he didn't get all bent out of shape. I mean, what can he do? She wants a doctor, and her mother does too.

If this was real you would be an awful parent for posting about your kid and his personal life.
