I posted the reasons about this and why we MUST make changes to the laws NOW in order to protect our gun rights in the future. It's too complicated for most people to understand. Democrats do better politics. That's what this all comes down to. Trump is making moves to protect the Republican lead. If he didn't you can be as tough as you want to pretend to be but ultimately, if the Democrats take Congress and the White House then they will get their wish.

First they will call for "common sense gun laws" (aka phase one of their OUTRIGHT gun confiscation) - to them, that means banning all high capacity mags, NO concealed carry anywhere, new expansive background checks requiring months of waiting even for gun owners who own multiple guns already and banning "scary looking guns" like the AR.

Then they will pass prohibitive taxes on guns, ammunition and parts. It will be like an alcohol tax but higher - try 60% and they will continue to raise the tax until it becomes so prohibitively expensive that nobody will afford to buy ammo or guns, forcing gun manufactures out of business.

The next phase is gun registration. Every gun bought or sold instantly registered and amnesty for others to register.

The final phase will be door to door confiscation of all semi-autos - handguns and rifles based on their database, from Facebook comments, to photo you posted, to comments you made etc. They will track you down.

I hope, rather I suspect by phase one, there will be violence. I hope that the groups many of us belong to will be smart enough to recognize the correct targets. If things escalate from there, the groups need to go out and shut down the supply chains so the libtards can die of starvation and lack of supplies. And there you have it. That's our future.
