David Rockefeller is jacking off in his grave.

“The social experiment in China under Chairman Mao's leadership is one of the most important and successful in human history”

All these systems of gov't we've seen the past 100 years have been an experiment.

This video is the single scariest shit I've seen in years.

Re: Sesame Credit... want to know what the future holds for us and how we'll be controlled?
there are plenty of videos on how we got to where we are, but have you seen a video of what to expect? If so, please post it because I'd love to see it.

here's a seven minute video of how TPTB will control the population. One thing most people don't realize is that the gov doesn't control The People. The People control the gov. TPTB put out an idea, incubate it, encourage it, and then it spreads like a digital virus. Then The People TELL the gov what laws to pass because the gov doesn't are one way or the other. They only care about their little power and money they can gather.

This video is amazing and the next level of control...

Did some more research.

So just how are people rated? Individuals on Sesame Credit are measured by a score ranging between 350 and 950 points. Alibaba does not divulge the "complex algorithm" it uses to calculate the number but they do reveal the five factors taken into account. The first is credit history. For example, does the citizen pay their electricity or phone bill on time? Next is fulfilment capacity, which it defines in its guidelines as "a user's ability to fulfil his/her contract obligations". The third factor is personal characteristics, verifying personal information such as someone's mobile phone number and address. But the fourth category, behaviour and preference, is where it gets interesting.

Under this system, something as innocuous as a person's shopping habits become a measure of character. Alibaba admits it judges people by the types of products they buy. "Someone who plays video games for ten hours a day, for example, would be considered an idle person," says Li Yingyun, Sesame's Technology Director. "Someone who frequently buys diapers would be considered as probably a parent, who on balance is more likely to have a sense of responsibility." So the system not only investigates behaviour - it shapes it. It "nudges" citizens away from purchases and behaviours the government does not like.

Friends matter, too. The fifth category is interpersonal relationships. What does their choice of online friends and their interactions say about the person being assessed? Sharing what Sesame Credit refers to as "positive energy" online, nice messages about the government or how well the country's economy is doing, will make your score go up.

Alibaba is adamant that, currently, anything negative posted on social media does not affect scores (we don't know if this is true or not because the algorithm is secret). But you can see how this might play out when the government's own citizen score system officially launches in 2020. Even though there is no suggestion yet that any of the eight private companies involved in the ongoing pilot scheme will be ultimately responsible for running the government's own system, it's hard to believe that the government will not want to extract the maximum amount of data for its SCS, from the pilots. If that happens, and continues as the new normal under the government's own SCS it will result in private platforms acting essentially as spy agencies for the government. They may have no choice.

Posting dissenting political opinions or links mentioning Tiananmen Square has never been wise in China, but now it could directly hurt a citizen's rating. But here's the real kicker: a person's own score will also be affected by what their online friends say and do, beyond their own contact with them. If someone they are connected to online posts a negative comment, their own score will also be dragged down.

But when people are going to start being rated like a 'product', that the government then recognizes as such and restricting movement and privilege..it runs a very, very slippery slope..

It's just a terrible idea all around. I shudder to think of something like this taking over the world and becoming mandatory.

Which it will become mandatory, in 2020 for Chinese citizens.

I've been trying to bring awareness and it seem to mostly be dismissed for the circus of the moment.

I think it's being dismissed by most for one of two reasons:

1. they really don't understand, or
2. they understand, but subconsciously, it upsets them so much that they dismiss it.

the fact that the oppressors are friends and family would truly frighten most people if they understood this reality.

Good to hear it. I might give it another watch as it has been over a year since I've seen it. I think you will recognize many of the social media issues that have played out right here on GLP. With the karma system for example and how some abuse it. Same thing.

Human beings define themselves through social interactions. And 'group think' is very easy to slip into.

This Chinese system, the points are slanted toward a total state dominated ideal and thought control is rewarded/penalized through social validation.

Yes. Total cult-mentality methodology. Everyone will be too terrified to speak out about anything not state/socially sponsored, for fear of losing any or all social validating circles, benefits, and loss of privilege..caused by backlash of peers being penalized for the 'company they keep'.

Or IOW, state sponsored thought control enforced by peers and facilitated through technology and a number that people will 'wear'.

It's spooky.

here , and few pages in front other "nice things" from past:

Thread: "His" next ELITE move will... (Page 145)

Did you take any physics in high school?"
"Nothing like relativity,"
"Sound and light?"
"A little."
"Then you probably know two elementary experiments. Project a white light through a prism and a
spectrum appears on the screen behind the prism. You've seen that?"
"Yes."
"And the experiment with a glass tube that has a thin layer of colored powder on the bottom, when
you send a sound wave through it?"
"Yeah. And the wave leaves little marks at each of its valleys and you can see them in the powder."
The track of the invisible wave in a visible medium.
"Very well. Now you can picture, perhaps, how the lloigor, although not made of matter as we
understand it, can manifest themselves in matter, leaving traces that show, let us say, a cross section
of what they really are."

"From our point of view, they are intolerably hideous in these
manifestations. There is a reason for that. They were the source of the worst terrors experienced by
the first humans. Our DNA code still carries an aversion and terror toward them, and this activates a
part of our minds which the psychologist Jung called the Collective Unconscious.
That is where all
myth and art come from. Everything frightening, loathsome and terrible—in the folklore, in the
paintings and statues, in the legends and epics of every people on earth—contains a partial image of
a manifestation of the lloigor. 'As a foulness shall ye know Them,' a great Arab poet wrote."
"And they've been at war with us through all history?"
"Not at all. Are the stockyards at war with the cattle? It's nothing like war at all," "It's just that they own us."

In the next 5-10 years maybe, but not over 15 years.
The future will be so unpredictable that it will threaten our concept of reality, science, sanity.

Today, we are living in a fascist type society, which is okay to me. But some people use it for personal gain, and that's the problem.

Thanks!

I just realized something that is even more scary...

will the social credit system crawl all of our old posts from all online sources, even anonymous coward posts they suspect might be ours, to build the initial score?

so those few times were you got drunk and angry and posted some horrible stuff that you later regretted, but the GLP or other community said, "eh, no worries, we all do that shit"... only to have those rare moments factored into your initial score?

lol, i'm going to start being nice because I can't have my personal online crap affect my kids' futures.

Social Credit being used as a kind of "tax tariff". As tariffs can affect how countries do business with each other via a direct economic cost, China is using SC to manipulate international business to bow down to China's various demands.

All businesses in China will also fall under the SC system, like people, so if a business wants a good SC score, they'll have to follow China's preferences.

...

On the business side, the Brookings Institute has reported that businesses that pay tax on time and “abide by government demands” will get better loan conditions and easier access to public tenders; noncompliant businesses will face more difficult business conditions.

[link to www.theguardian.com (secure)]

and a little proof that "The People" in the USA will like it as it will be sold as tool for The People to "Control" the gov. as well...

Queensland University of Technology researcher Meg Jing Zeng has said that while the social credit system can be used to punish political dissenters such as journalist Liu Hu, it may have positive benefits for Chinese citizens because government officials can be blacklisted for corrupt behaviour. Over 1,100 officials were on restricted lists at December 2017, according to the state media organisation People’s Daily.

Facial recognition technology is just a small part of the artificial intelligence industry that China wants to pioneer.

According to a report by CB Insights, five times as many AI patents were applied for in China than the US in 2017.

Even scarier after Xi made himself president for life. I heard earlier..that Winnie the Pooh has been banned in China due to some memes of Pooh and Xi's likeness..
