I was looking at this again today, it is a really impressive artifact. Supposedly it was sculpted by the Italian sculptor Giambologna, this is what wikipedia has on him:

Giambologna (1529 – 13 August 1608) — born Jean Boulogne (and incorrectly known as Giovanni da Bologna or Giovanni Bologna) — was a Flemish sculptor based in Italy, celebrated for his marble and bronze statuary in a late Renaissance or Mannerist style.

And then I compared this 'sculpture' which is probably about 36' tall (and the giant is hunched down) to other large sized sculptures around the world and none of them had the level of detail that this sculpture has.

Let's assume that a human sculpture has around 0.07 cubic meters of mass (comparable to an average sized human) and that a sculpture of a human takes roughly 1 year (guess).

This sculpture then has (6*6)^3 the amount of volume or 46,656 times as much volume as a normal human sculpture or 3,265 cubic meters of volume.

That would mean it would take roughly 46,656 times a long to sculpt this giant based on volume alone. So let's be generous and say 10,000 times as long. That means if the sculpture took ten years to complete it would take 1,000 sculptures all working simultaneously to complete the sculpture.

That's why all the other 'giant' sized sculptures you can find on the internet (like mt rushmore) don't have near the level of detail this 'sculpture' has.

I would conclude just based on some math that it wasn't sculpted by human artists.

In that thumbnail picture, under the left hand, you can make a serpent head/face out of the two holes and a gaping wide mouth with a tongue almost hanging out it. Colossus' right hand could be behind him holding it down behind himself in battle when another gorgon/alien beamed the two of them.

They should bang some rock off that serpent head and see if it has reptilian or known dna eh?
