The Broward County Sheriffs Department over the years I've been in Florida consolidated a monopoly of sorts.

For example I live in Deerfield Beach, a short distance from Parkland. When I moved here in 1988 Deerfield Beach had it's own police force. Then a few years later they decided to do away with it and contract police service from Broward County. A few years after that the next ciity south, Pompano Beach did the same thing. Quite a few other communities also did the same.

Now we find there is collusion between the Sheriffs Department and Broward Counties school system to basically fudge the system of the arrest of minors and how they are recorded. The underlying reason being generating statistics that determine the amount of money given by the Federal government to Broward County schools.

So, besides the moral and ethical issues these policies present please consider the following. First and foremost these policies created an environment that made the disaster at Parkland schools possible. Perhaps even more disturbing is it seems the local criminals have developed a system to use minors as operatives because they won't be prosecuted.

To go a little further there is a huge amount of money involved. It comes to mind that a certain percentage is most probably ending up in people's pockets it wasn't meant for.

The easiest way to do that is billing by contractors by over billing or for services that were not rendered.

Sheriff Israel needs to resign immediately, superintendent Rundice needs to resign immediately. A special prosecutor needs to be assigned and audits need to be performed.

Also I personally feel Sheriff Israel's throwing under the bus of Scot Peterson and two other deputies is merely a smokescreen to draw attention away from from what I consider a huge conspiracy to defraud and cheat taxpayers.

Also consider that if there were 4 deputies on campus why was one not left with the camera systems to keep giving real time tactical information over the radios?

Unless it is true that there was a 20 minute delay which I find really hard to believe.

I have pretty credible inside info that one of the deputies was in fact watching the cameras and saw Cruz enter the campus with a backpack which is how they were alerted to his presence in the first place. you mean to tell me the best tactical tool they had was vacated?

If in fact there was that camera delay people need to be fired and whoever green lighted that sued. They spend megabucks on those systems.

Cats are smart.

They know exactly what they're doing.

They were in the business of preventing crime by not reporting it so the school can get more money. It's to give time for the criminals to get away so they don't catch anybody in the act and have to arrest them. But even if they do catch a crime in the act they would still let the criminal go. This shit is fucked. Despite intentions this policy of trying to lower the crime rate by not reporting should have been stopped years ago.

It seems that the main objective was getting the money. Please be aware that Broward County schools have a large Sheriff's dept presence on campus. Broward County Sheriffs are also well equipped and have a base starting pay near $70,000. And that's the stuff that is above board. What's done with this granted money on the sly. They need an audit as do the schools themselves.
