What happened to the Sheriff in Florida?

A woman got pulled over for speeding by a Broward County deputy. When he walked up to her window and opened his ticket book she said, “I bet you’re going to sell me tickets to the Broward County Sheriff's Ball.” The deputy said "The Broward County Sheriff doesn't have balls."
After a moment's silence the deputy closed his ticket book, walked to his patrol car and drove away...
