That is quite the understatement friend! Christianity was founded by Jesus and instituted into the twelve who lived with Him, followed Him, and were His brothers. Once Jesus left them on their own and they went off to spread the Gospel and died, the Faith started to be watered down. When Constantine accepted what Christianity had become at that time, the Christians became part of the Roman Empire, accepting their holidays and many other of their customs and even beliefs, and morphed into the Holy Roman Empire and then the Vatican. How could any entity survive such a transition once joined with a corrupt decadent dying empire and remain what it was? Impossible!

They say that there were many Christians that went another way, into the Middle East and some claim they are now sects such as the Coptic's, and have remained much truer to the words and the ways of Jesus. If this is true I cannot say, but it would make sense that those who persecute Christians today would certainly pick on them first if this is true.
