REPORT COPYRIGHT VIOLATION IN REPLY
Message Subject In 1996 Telecommunications Act Congress ACKNOWLEDGES TV VIOLENCE INCREASES REAL LIFE VIOLENCE IN CHILDREN

Hollywood and Congress are both partially to blame for the increased violence we are seeing.

AND THE ACTIONS CURRENTLY SEEN SPEAK LOUDER THAN THE WORDS THAT MAY BE USED TO DENY THIS.

People just don't want to hear it.
slaphim

Hollywood CREATES IT with increasing depravity.
Congress ALLOWS IT while knowing it's IMPACT on people.

ALL of these Violent Actions are the FRUIT of Their upbringing.

REPETITIVELY VIEWED VIOLENCE RESULTS IN A VIOLENT CHILD/ADULT

Read The Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996

It SHOWS Congress AWARE of TV Violence IMPACTING CHILDREN.
And Yet TV and Media have gotten much worse.

Old TV shows didn't have mass killings and in those times neither did we.

EVERYTHING YOU SEE FORMS an image, a feeling and a memory in your Brain.
Even if you don't understand the impact fully.

HOLLYWOOD GLAMORIZES SHOOTINGS.
Over and Over and Over again.

Zombie movies that require headshots to kill the zombies.

John Wick 2 had 126 killings.

The first time you kill anything it is an eye opening experience.
Numerous feeling flood thru you.
By the time you do it 10 times not so much.
By the time you do it 100 times it has become second nature.

And that same logic applies to seeing it.
As a kid when you first see something it is unique.
But the same thing seen over and over again it is boring.

And that is exactly what is happening with these shootings.

And in many cases people copy what they see other people do.
COPYCATS
Monkey see Monkey do.

CONGRESS SHOWS THEIR AWARENESS of the VIOLENCE INCREASE PREDICTION in the FEDERAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT OF 1996

SUBTITLE B--VIOLENCE
SEC. 551. PARENTAL CHOICE IN TELEVISION PROGRAMMING.
(a) FINDINGS- The Congress makes the following findings:

(1) Television influences children's perception of the values
and behavior that are common and acceptable in society.

(2) Television station operators, cable television system
operators, and video programmers should follow practices in
connection with video programming that take into consideration
that television broadcast and cable programming has established
a uniquely pervasive presence in the lives of American children.

(3) The average American child is exposed to 25 hours of
television each week and some children are exposed to as much
as 11 hours of television a day.

(4) Studies have shown that children exposed to violent video
programming at a young age have a higher tendency for violent
and aggressive behavior later in life than children not so
exposed, and that children exposed to violent video programming
are prone to assume that acts of violence are acceptable
behavior.

(5) Children in the United States are, on average, exposed to
an estimated 8,000 murders and 100,000 acts of violence on
television by the time the child completes elementary school.

{Can you imagine the amounts currently?}

(6) Studies indicate that children are affected by the
pervasiveness and casual treatment of sexual material on
television, eroding the ability of parents to develop
responsible attitudes and behavior in their children.

(7) Parents express grave concern over violent and sexual
video programming and strongly support technology that would
give them greater control to block video programming in the
home that they consider harmful to their children.

(8) There is a compelling governmental interest in empowering
parents to limit the negative influences of video programming
that is harmful to children.

Dont believe it

I was born in 72, hit 8 years old in 80, grew up at that point watching Murder, gory, shooting, horror, movies

Listening to heavy Metal

Almost everyone in the 80s watched these Movies

You hardly ever heard of any Kid going and killing anyone

Now, the only way this could be true is if these Snow Flakes are just so weak minded, they are actually influenced by these things

We use to Bully, get Bullied, never came and shot up the school

I think what changed was the fact in the 90s every kid became special, even losers got trophies

Getting whooped with a Belt became a thing of the past, time outs became the new thing

Kids didnt like losing, getting picked on, they had no one to give them a good Ass whoopin

So when these kids got Bullied or loss at something they would get Mad and since they never learn how to lose, they would say to themselves, they cant pick on me Im a winner, Mommy said so, coach said so, then they would think Ill show them I will show up and shoot everyone

Or... they would go home and kill themselves, because they didnt know how to handle losing

You have to learn how to lose, how to deal with those feelings. How if you get bullied you stand up and fight back, not go home and off yourself or come and shoot up people.

So, its not the movies, music, its getting rid of Ass whoopin, and making everyone a winner even when they suck and lose

You are also forgetting that many of these snowflakes are on psychiatric drugs these days that have nasty side effects such as increased risk of suicide and going on mass shooting rampage. Kids were not on as many drugs back when we were growing up. I never knew any kid who was taking psychiatric drugs.
