Wait... so we're pro socialism now? Youtube may do a bunch of underhanded BS but it's their site.

When we come to GLP we are bound by GLP's rules and anything we post is subject to removal if Trinity or other admin don't like what we've posted. The same goes for Youtube.

If Youtube bans or censors a person for whatever reason, it is their right. They pay for the bandwidth to host and serve your video so they choose what sits on their servers. If we don't like it there are plenty other video sites that can host our videos. The problem is that the other sites don't even have a quarter of viewers and don't exactly pay what Youtube pays. If the viewers support the creators they will follow the creators to other sites and maybe pay a monthly fee.

Unions are socialist and border on communism.

In general, many YT content creators have contracts and have complied with the terms and then their channel account is modified by YT in a breech of those terms. You are correct TY can do what it pleases but when contracts are breeched then you either arbitrate the dispute or take it to court.

Yes if you read the transcript linked in the video description, or watch the video all the way through, he wants better communication and better policies between Youtube and Youtube's "partners" which is what they've always called their content creators.

He wants consistency of enforcement of terms, and reasonable policies without double standards.

I don't see anything communistic or socialistic about this at all. You're just objecting to the word. Obviously this isn't about wages or workers striking. And seriously, if people are working in a coal mine and getting killed every day while starving to death to make some guy rich, then if me supporting their right to unionize makes me a "communist", so be it. I do not support government worker's unions, that's bullshit. and yes some unions have overreached their power.

BUT all that aside! This isn't about any of that! It's about people coming together for better communication!

The use of the word union bothers you, maybe they should call it something else?
