The OP is right. If people were serious about using the 2nd Amendment for its purpose then they'd have dealt with politicians passing these anti-2A laws long ago. The truth of the matter is most people A) don't/aren't willing to kill anyone, and B) don't want to risk their comfortable life and go to prison or end up dead. So rights will continue to be infringed and people will continue to do nothing except complain about it online.
