Re: Americans, serious question.. gun ban....
much appreciate your comments, mr wordsworth.
i believe you stand correct, but my question was merely asking if ever it was to happen what would be the automatic reaction of the people, and what would their views on trump be at that point?
 Quoting: UKTruther

I think the answer is obvious, but it's a nonsensical question like asking what we would do if he pulled of a mask during a press conference and revealed he was a reptilian.

But, to answer it anyways... actually the response would be the same as if he was a reptilian. We would disavow him, and immediately do everything in our power to remove him and anyone supporting him from office.

It seems like I may have to pony up for the means to stop you at 2000m. I can do that. Money is a wonderful thing.

If president Trump decides to go a head with this bill and have all weaponary to be confiscated by government that any citizen of the USA own.
What will your actions at that point be?
Considering if you dont comply, you could be shot or jailed for a lengthy period.
What will be your reaction if trump decides against the people he promised he was here to protect and stand by?

with the huge divides within thee country right now on who is right or wrong,
from the left to the right,
do you see a civil war happening?
And or a fight against military of they turn up at your door for your Guns and ammo?

I know how serious this can get and become,
This is why i ask these questions to see the response from Americans themselves.

I believe you should stick by your own thoughts and opinions, and stay protected with your guns.
Do not let them have them what so ever.
That my opinion though.

That's truly a bridge to be crossed. Hopefully never.
In the event that does happen. As with any story there will be heros and martyrs.
I personally don't think we stand a chance against the federal standing armies.
That'll be on the heads of the tyrants though because I certainly won't be around anymore.
Witness.

fair comment. and understandably many wont hang around either, they will go into hiding or just go altogether. but there will still be many who wish to stay and commense a war between those trying to take away the guns. Which is at that point i struggle to see which way it will all end up going.
 Quoting: UKTruther

Either way, it won't end well for the US.

One hopes it will end as well as it did in 1776 but there is no guarantee of that. It could end in such a way that we're broken and relegated to the likes of Venezuela, Brazil or the UK.

I'm guessing that it will start very slowly, gradually pick up steam and then commence into a full fledged battle once people realize that the criminals in DC have nothing but subjugation on their minds.

Look at the debacle that is Afghanistan. The "Graveyard of Empires". The Soviets failed. The US has failed.

The Afghans have NOTHING compared to We the People. Yet they continue to win.

It sounds like someone wishes to bring the fight here. It will make world news.

Re: Americans, serious question.. gun ban....
At first many people would comply because they don't want to risk dying or going to jail. But there would be protests and civil disobedience all over the country. You would see multiple events similar to the 2014 Bundy Ranch standoff but instead of ending peacefully they would end in shootouts.

Casualties would mount on both sides, people who were formerly on the fence would join anti-government forces after seeing abuse and family members killed. Eventually either the government would call off the gun confiscation or a full civil war would erupt. Half the military would defect. Foreign countries would love to get involved to screw over the U.S. For example I can imagine Russia sending over "advisers" to train Americans and give them heavy weaponry.

Re: Americans, serious question.. gun ban....
sadly i'd be put in a position to shoot any redcoat dumb enough to come to take them.

but that's not how they'll do it.

they will ban new owners first. let the old ones die out.

keep brainwashing "guns are evil, government good" into the new kids in the public brainwashing stations (aka schools)

then they will do enough paid voluntary turn-ins to reduce the "enemy's" weapons to a low enough number to view us as a non-threat and then begin passing all the insane new world order laws they want.

that being said.

IF the "assault weapons ban 2018" does pass and the patriots don't march on washington...we don't deserve the weapons anyways..

Realistically, the way it would go down is if dems get their wish, 20 years from now probably all you will be able to own is single shot rifles so they can say the second amendment is still alive and hunting is still possible.

By that time armed drone swarms will make firearms obsolete as a weapon against the government anyways... and even then they will probably put chips in the guns that allow the police to disable them.

That's our future folks, that's why I get excited when I hear about doom. If technology keeps progressing at it's current rate, governments will attain the power to permanently enslave the human race, and they WILL use that power eventually.

Ted was right, I just wish he found a more effective way to get his point across. He thought he could stop this by going full Sarah Conner, but it was to little too late.

During Obama's reign, there was an arms race between the federal government and the People.

The People won!

Note that Obama and the dims controlled both houses of Congress, they could have easily passed anti-Second Amendment laws. They did not because they knew they would lose elections.

I ask this cos i love americans, i believe in your rights and you must stand by them.

But i can see this leading to a mass loss of life, if military open fire on those who do not hand over..
But then again if you open fire back, yeah they lose too..

I dont think many understand how much of a huge deal this is for the Usa and the people.

Most military would side with the second amendment. Cops not so much. I think most would prefer they were the only ones allowed to have guns.

I’m a retired LEO, with 13 years on my Dept’s SRT, from a pretty liberal Northeast City, and I don’t know one single officer in my Dept who believes that only LEOs should be armed.

There might have been a couple who wanted strict restrictions on MSRs, but they kept it to themselves. The vast majority believed strongly in the full protection of the 2A.

Not one guy on my former SRT would have participated in confiscation of weapons from the general public.

All that said, if a weapons ban ever did pass, and any agents or officers came to my door to take them, they are not getting them. My level of resistance would depend on how hard they insisted on coming in.

Won't happen considering that the majority of cops and the military support the 2nd amendment.

What I could see happening is that during a collapse the FEDs under a Hillary Clinton / Obama character try and force gun control then use Chinese or UN troops to enforce it.

You're thinking about 2018 technology, or maybe 2025 technology.

In 2040, there will be shit you couldn't have even imagined was possible right now, just like there's shit now you couldn't have imagined in 1995.

By that point, drones will have an endurance of days or weeks... and be able to make decisions on their own faster than a human could.

AI will be driving the drone and writing it's code, robots will be running the power station, and all of them will be armed to the teeth and worst case easily replaceable without the need for years of training.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
