I think that China felt they were being beaten so badly in the recent negotiation that they may as well wait around for the next election, 2020, to see if they could get lucky & have a Democrat win - in which case they would continue to rip-off the USA for $500 Billion a year....

That is great news!

Can we see it from the Moran bench? I have always wanted to see one of those. Its gratifying to see india dropping an immersion coil heater to prepare for the next cold snap.

Mad a comment about the pig farmers and someone threatened me and told me to shut up and "stay in my lane".

I'm actually a barometer of what Americans in cities are actually thinking and they're thinking that the farmers have always gotten government subsidies and they've never liked that as they see their public housing deteriorating.

Anyway, saw the mooch tonight and he said that the President realizes that the farmers are having problems so he's going to temporarily subsidize them. That would probably be fine for most people in cities because there's that word "temporarily" in there.

He never sat well with me either but I kept it to myself. Where did he come from? Did POTUS appoint him or was he another leftover stale dem? If POTUS did appoint him what bright light gave POTUS his name?

They need to do something. Wheat is down $1.50 a bushel since harvest last year. That is a collapse none of us saw coming. When government action causes this, is that fair?

I am not a big farmer, they are the ones buying the new equipment, and if you have 500,000 bushels to sell, which many do, you are talking big money!

I'll take the pig farmer over the marijuana farmer.

If that is your business did you see the pig farmer on with shep the other day. Not a happy fellow and he got me so annoyed because, in the end, the tariffs are going to be tough on everyone but it has to be done to level the playing field.

Lack of over seas sales is the problem. It happens every time, too much local supply,due to the lack of foreign sales!!!

Was thinking about this today. I honestly think we have all become used to complaining. Complaining is a way of life for the dems, no solutions, just complaining and expecting someone else to come in and fix everything, for the dems, mostly the government, they want the government to fix it.

I think the greatest generation, based on reading, were very self reliant. When they got lemons they made lemonade and I think that's what the President is trying to get us to do. He's trying to change our mindset from victims to winners.

So, I think he wants us to use common sense and come up with out of the box solutions to the problems as they come. Like maybe a new business in pork will be created because of the pork surplus. Some meleniall will think of something and they're off to the races.

See I'm thinking the left has trained everyone to complain and bring suit. And complain and bring suit. But, that greatest generation apparently never complained and rarely used the courts as a weapon. They'd just roll up their sleeves and figure something out.

I'm just rambling but trying to think of a way where as few of the farmers or other businesses get hurt at this time when we seriously no longer have a choice.

If this is too much rambling keybored can take the post away and y'all can yell at me lol.

They will get it figured out! Trump is talking about buying up excess commodities and donating them to poor countries, that would help!

Anything product made from petroleum can be produced from hemp oil, which is cheaper, cleaner, and renewable.
It's fibers are more durable than cotton and, of course, make excellent ropes.
It is also the best crop for tobacco farmers to rotate with.
