This is not an unusual thing for me. When I was growing up, communities were this way, you worked either at a job, came home and worked. The gathering with others was either at Church or Church groups softball, or you went to get groceries, that was about it. There were rare times that people went to the doctors, if you called they came to you.
We even had a delivery of eggs, milk, cheese, and sometimes ice cream. There were also products from the Stanley company that brought cleaning products and home medicine. Pretty much separate most of the time, except schools. There were the times a visitor came, not uninvited. Stores were always stocked as they had a lot of back stock. A simpler life there was not a lot of stuff that had no reason to be, most of the time we didn't have TV we had a radio, battery operated. Not overloaded with clothes, nor anything you just didn't need.

The 1970s started the consumer push and more credit and debt personal debt. They took the last silver off the coins.
They took the silver certificates also. This hurt the little guys their checks did not go up, prices did.

I didn't pay to much attention to the Oprah thing, I did pay attention to the place and what they said was going on there. That is the question, was it true they were digging up the place hunting for something?

I just watched the whole thing. Of course I had seen it live at the time. But it's beautiful to hear again, and to think of everything that has happened, and is happening now.
