The Nebraska State Patrol seized nearly 120 pounds of the drug fentanyl -- enough to kill about 26 million people, according to estimates by the US Drug Enforcement
Administration.

On Thursday, Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts announced the bust, considered the largest in the state's history and one of the largest in the United States.
Authorities seized 118 pounds of fentanyl during a routine traffic stop April 26 on Interstate 80 near Kearney. Troopers became suspicious of a semi-truck driving on the shoulder lane, searched the vehicle and found drugs in a hidden compartment, according to Nebraska State Patrol Col. John Bolduc.

Customs and Border Protection officers said Thursday they discovered 254 pounds of the drug hidden in a floor compartment of a truck trailer loaded with cucumbers.
The sensitive nose of a drug-sniffing dog has led to what federal officials say is the largest seizure in U.S. history of fentanyl, the synthetic opioid blamed for the majority of overdose deaths.

Customs and Border Protection officers said Thursday they discovered 254 pounds of the drug hidden in a floor compartment of a truck loaded with cucumbers. They also found 395 pounds of methamphetamine.
BP valued the fentanyl at $3.5 million
C and the methamphetamine at $1.1 million.

They, whoever they are, are trying really hard to get inordinate amounts of this drug into the USA. There seem to have been so many fentanyl busts lately, each one larger than the last.
