Third option: the whole thing is a set up and it’s not really Hunter’s laptop. Incriminating stuff on it was planted. (also a possibility).

I have no idea what is true and what is not anymore - just seems like if it was this option they would be saying so.

It seems, though, that no matter what, the laptop is full of true, provable, in-living-color evidence of extraordinary corruption. The debate is dependent on Guliani's drops. He has said he wants to allow Joe to lie but if left to the debate, Trump would then face a debate 'live shutdown scandal' when he brings it up and they pull the plug completely, refusing to carry on etc.

Crucially, there's no need for a 'cruel and unusual' approach, as Joe is mentally unfit. Guliani knows how history will record this and will drop sufficient bigger bombshells in time for Biden to drop out.

If it were the other way around, and Trumpy had a sweetheart deal like old Joe ....
