I ask here because you guys are ... well, you guys.
Any tips to avoid 'the system' dumping me/us at the main board [with ZERO browser history] after 'you are attempting to enter a country club ...' and/or 'would you like to upgrade?'
I can't even find the page I was on in my browser history. Coupled with the minefield of linking to otwriting about anything the person in charge doesn't 'like' is really pissing me off. I have other interests - just because I am not clicking gulp continuously I get shunted to the front page if I refresh any page I'm on after a break [an hour or a day or anywhere in between]
I realize I could search for the page. I just wonder if other easier solutions exist.

I don't have a phone, so only access is by PC.
I love leaving multiple tabs open. Sometimes, I don't get back to them in days, lol.
The GuLP thing...
I've made it a habit to first go to the main page, refresh, do any "checks", etc. before refreshing my thread tabs.
Even before clicking the post button, I'll go back to the main page, refresh it 2 or 3 times (10 seconds) just to make sure I don't have a "scheduled check-in" or "captcha" waiting.
It usually works. I've heard complaining about 5 or more captcha's in a row before posting. I've never had more than 2 in a row (and even that is rare), so possibly made mistake on first one.
I feel you.
Sometimes I wonder why I pay for such crap.
But these inconveniences are a small price to pay.
I get to read some interesting thoughts, perspectives, analysis, ideas and experiences.
I have a front row seat to the show.
While I don't post often, I'm here more than many of your know.

EDIT - So, I usually preview before posting. Only, now I can't. Preview takes me to captcha, which takes me to landing page. Luckily, I use Brave browser, so I can't lose cache or browser history as you do with Firefox (one of the main reasons why I installed).
