Thanks to the OP for starting this super important thread, and to the poster above for his linked vid. I always read the comments afterwards for additional info.

Now as I understand it the coalition forces are Syria's Pres Assad backed by Iran & Hezbollah, and linking to Putin's Russia in exchange for use of a vital port, against Israel (adamantly opposed to Hezbollah) and the US and some members of NATO drawn in for whatever reasons?

Meanwhile the US sees this is as the ideal time to practice military drills with Israel and other NATO forces, perhaps as an attempt at a deterrent? Or a new version of a futuristic chess game?

Damascus is already almost totally destroyed, as is the majority of the Syrian people and their economy. Syria will soon be mincemeat due to opposing interests of the various factions. Turkey and Saudi Arabia are backing different rebel groups, who are also all fighting each other.

The Kurds are trying to defend their territory against aggression from Turkey.

As is typical, the UN is almost useless. Aid to the people of Syria is being absconded by the various rebel groups who are selling it at high inflationary prices, after stealing the majority for themselves.

Am I right? Or am I leaving something out in this constantly changing arena?

Nostradamus predicted an American fleet would be vaporized in the Mediterranean. That's the first thing that popped into my mind when I began reading this thread. I will have to find the quote from the quatrains but I have read the prophecy many times. The US is then out of the war and too weakened to do much. Also, "during the Easter season", Nostradamus said that Rome(Vatican)would be hit and the pope would have to flee (also part of a vision Pope Pius XII had)

I usually don't pay too much attention to predictions and prophecies although I have read a great deal about them. This buildup, however, seems to fit squarely into what many others have seen in the past. I find it all a bit disconcerting.

If this is the big one, I will just fill my pipe with some super weed and go out in a puff of smoke. I'm in a major target area. There's no fleeing for safety nor prepping that will help me. I'm old and I figure that, if this all goes down,I decided before coming to earth during this particular period and there's some reason I'm here.

Several nights ago I had a nightmare that the White House was surrounded by tanks and soldiers with machine guns. In the dream I was watching this on tv and terrified. Make of it what you will.

These participated from the United States and these exercises were held off the southern coast of Italy.

Participating units from the U.S. include one submarine, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58), two P-8A Poseidons, and one P-3 Orion.

Not a single Nimitz class badass boys anywhere in mention and 2/3rd are nowhere near the Italian coast.

Buildup like this is quite unpresidented for a number of reasons.

For lack of a better word, there is a fuckton of of our Navy in one spot right now.
