It seems they have to make a big production about how they are morally superior.

They also think they are healthier even though they often look sickly from lack of protein and too many carbs.

Don't get me wrong, I love to eat vegetarian meals sometimes but I don't feel the need to wear it like a badge of honor and tell the whole world.

Veganism is where they went wrong. They should have went mucusless from the start. They quit the animal products but they do not quit the mucus forming foods so they continue looking sick and weak and with mental illness.

Some people just want to have the feeling of being good, the true reality of it is we all are sinners and need Jesus Christ.

It's a vanity/ego thing.

There's absolutely nothing immoral about eating meat, vegans don't understand this simple fact.

Why would you wear it as a badge of honour? It isn't like you committed to doing anything long term.

It takes commitment, ideals, ethics, integrity, loyalty to actually make a lifelong commitment to something in which you believe is worthwhile and which commands your respect.

I'm a vegetarian cook, and do see what you describe all the time, but also the opposite, people who quietly go about their lives without trying to impose their views.

I think some of that "sickly" effect is their not eating the right combinations of veg/grains/beans that provide all of the nutrition they need, but also I think they are often also cutting out fats, and that's not good at all for them.

Flying off the handle? Just noting it is interesting you weren't banned for your participation in a certain thread, yet others who weren't disclosing any kind of information were.

Just an observation of my own.

Some may jump onto something because they think it is trendy in one way or another, like beyonce - who is off again and on again. Some may stop for awhile because they were convinced it was causing health problems, only to find when they go back to it, their health issues resolve.

Yes, there are people do seem to just follow, but even some of those may discover reasoning and well-being from it and stick with it for life as they gain a higher understanding out of the practice. This would mean they are capable of learning and open to challenging belief systems versus just trying to fit in though (which may signify a lack of consciousness, that they are just some kind of NPC here).

I wasn't looking for someone to argue with either yet here I am, sigh.

As for your observation, I don't recall disclosing anything this morning, I know nothing.

Perhaps you have me confused with another taco?

It's always been this way. IDK about the small penis part though, but imho it is mostly men who have these rage issues against those who are vegetarian or vegan.

It's a reason not to disclose it in mixed company, although inevitably you will encounter assholes who ask you outright based on what you order during a lunch or dinner (business, group, any kind of situation) and ask you your reasons. A response of "personal choice," isn't enough to shut up these assholes, no then they have to go speaking about dead flesh clubs they belong to and they wonderful steaks they get, etc. all out of their insecurity, intimidation of who you are as you may be a competitor or friend of someone they know - this all designed to belittle you as a human being.

These types of assholes always end up getting served in some way though.

One dude, who was really into working out and what people here would call a chad based on his physique and bone structure, I really tried to not argue with on a lunch outing with other students during a weekend class.

He ended up dying of a massive coronary and because his wallet was locked up in the gym locker (to which I also belonged) and he went outside to take a break from a racquetball game, he was missing for several days and could not be identified at the morgue. He died before he could graduate and his fiance was a mess at the memorial. Beside him being an asshole to me in that discussion and talking about how he enjoyed dairy (ice cream, in particular) and belittling my choices in a shaming way, I had no problems with the dude, but bet he was a raging asshole to other nice people, too.

He was dating a producer (she says they were engaged) at a local metro news station and a well known broadcaster came to speak at his memorial because his fiance was too emotional to speak for long.

It was really sad, but dude dismissed the health benefits I mentioned when he kept pressing me. And looking at him he LOOKED healthy, but obviously was not at all. He was so young to have something like this happen to him, too. It was really crazy.

idk about most, because in many cases it is because people care about others that they try to talk to them about their dietary choices.

Sure, there are those who seem to do it just to be different and some who do it to impress someone. I think an ex of mine went vegan just to get on my better side (though his brother was and is a long time vegetarian and his mom became one, too), but may not have stayed that way after we broke up even though he had major health benefits from it.

Used to think at least hunters were more ethical eaters of dead flesh, but actually I have no respect for these people at all anymore, having been exposed to them and their culture and observing it long enough. Not sure people who kill without a purpose of self-defense or to kill an evil person are even conscious / have souls. They are just background noise distracting people from elevating their consciousness and breaking away from the enslavement of this fake world.

"The vegetarian whose diet is a result of poor ego... they want other people to see them as a concerned citizen, a defender of animal rights! To attain the goodguy badge is easy... they become a vegetarian. This is concealed selfishness in action. Even the untermensch in question doesn't know why they want to be seen as a moral, good person through this method. Of course, it would be much better if they campaigned against unethical food production, but that would take too much effort. Also, it would be better for them to buy meats from ethical sources (say, free range farms, etc), and therefore support the conversion of the meat industry from factory-methods to free-range-methods. But that would require research! No, the person who cannot be bothered to campaign and cannot be bothered to research can obtain a goodguy badge by merely becoming a vegetarian and doing little else. It works, because it is hard for an outsider to question their motives. And they come to believe their own lie!"
