No, at some point many years ago I got a conscience and felt badly for all the kind innocent creatures who died so I could have a hamburger.

Looking for someone to argue with?

Didn't get caught up in the ban from this morning, eh? How'd you avoid?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76380461

No just an observation. Why are you flying off the handle?

Flying off the handle? Just noting it is interesting you weren't banned for your participation in a certain thread, yet others who weren't disclosing any kind of information were.

Just an observation of my own.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76380461

Lol...See how it feels when you are accused of something you aren't doing.

I wasn't looking for someone to argue with either yet here I am, sigh.

As for your observation, I don't recall disclosing anything this morning, I know nothing.

Perhaps you have me confused with another taco?
 Quoting: Ms Taco

Oh, I have the screenshots

Weren't you the one saying something about purple eyeshadow and nightclubs?

As for accusations - didn't accuse you of anything, merely asked if you were looking for someone to argue with? Some people get off on that. Unfortunately, was married to someone who liked to argue (a form of fighting to me) versus having a conversation or even debate over differing viewpoints, so can usually spot those types of people - whether they are doing it for effect or its part of their true nature isn't always readily apparent.

Logically thinking vegetables are less complex than animals and animals should meet human body needs better. But earth or water is much less complex than vegetables..hmm..it depends on the body of the consumer.

I think ultimately I chose the lesser evil. I don't want anything to suffer for my momentary satiation.

We as humans all too easily desensitize ourselves to the reality of what we actually do.

I myself love animal souls, I could never violently kill an animal and then proceed to eat it, this is repugnant to me. As a small child I was aware of how truly vicious this was.

Everyone does not have to share in my views, but the facts are there no matter how you spin it.

We have choices to be aware or live with major blinders.

Seems there are many people now who are having problems eating any kind of processed food on a regular basis.

Lately, seems the only natural tasting things to be are berries, nuts, fruits, and the teas and smoothies I drink. Used to like eating the only veg/vegan ramen (Top Ramen - oriental flavour, now renamed Soy Sauce flavour or something like that) out there every once in awhile when I knew I needed to eat, but didn't feel like cooking. The last time I made it a couple of weeks ago, it just tasted like salt on noodles and I never even use half of the seasoning package, maybe a 1/4.

Have read several threads on GLP where people are saying food isn't tasting right to them either. Usually only eat one meal and a maybe a snack and that's been reduced to consuming a snack of nuts or fruit maybe and sometimes nothing but liquids. Would think I'd be skin and bones and passing out because of it, but I'm healthier and stronger and gaining muscle easily.

When I go back to eating a regular veg/vegan meal, that's when I start feeling dizzy, but when grazing on nuts, berries, fruit, drinking tea, water, soymilk, ricemilk, and smoothies (sometimes adding nuts butter and protein powder) I feel great, this has been going on for about 3 months now.

So, something seems to be going on with a lot of people not being able to eat regular type meals, always been a grazer when living on my own, but this is even beyond that .... and so many people seem to be experiencing the same, it's interesting.

Not saying I'd enjoy killing it, and I'd say a little "prayer" for it and thank it for the meat.

But I sure as hell wouldn't starve to death if I had the means to hunt.

That's like giving nature the middle finger.

It seems they have to make a big production about how they are morally superior.

They also think they are healthier even though they often look sickly from lack of protein and too many carbs.

Re: Are most vegetarians just virtue signaling?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76374799

It is.

Innocent life is not created to be taken. Evil consciousness attempts to convince otherwise, but it is not of divine origin - words to that effect are lies.

Normal humans are not born with the feeling to kill other life forms.

There are allusions to this truth in some religious texts, but it is hidden beneath so much man-made and psychopathic inserted dogma.

Do think though that God pointed out a way for primitive humans to kill an animal in the least painful manner, but this was only meant to be a stop-gap measure, not a permanent thing. It was an attempt to get them on the right path forward, but psychopaths used these things as a means of manipulation and control to maintain power over others by keeping them trapped in lowered consciousness, so they can keep them enslaved and keep them from knowing who / what they are and of what they are capable.

such great heights await.

i'm being open and direct, not passive aggressive in the least.

if you say it wasn't you, then there it is. so, i guess that's why you weren't banned, but others were who didn't make statements asserting anything, but due to asking questions.

you don't know me, but i'm not passive nor aggressive (unless under attack and in defensive mode), i am direct and honest as i feel that is the best approach. the only time i would withhold information is when it is being withheld from me and i don't see a reason for it / don't understand why....and that is not passive aggressive behavior, that's waiting for more information / open and honest discussion before initiating a discussion or disclosing what you know. it's the best way to avoid confusion or false accusations, i think anyway. if you know of a better way, please let me know. always open to learning.

"The vegetarian whose diet is a result of poor ego... they want other people to see them as a concerned citizen, a defender of animal rights! To attain the goodguy badge is easy... they become a vegetarian. This is concealed selfishness in action. Even the untermensch in question doesn't know why they want to be seen as a moral, good person through this method. Of course, it would be much better if they campaigned against unethical food production, but that would take too much effort. Also, it would be better for them to buy meats from ethical sources (say, free range farms, etc), and therefore support the conversion of the meat industry from factory-methods to free-range-methods. But that would require research! No, the person who cannot be bothered to campaign and cannot be bothered to research can obtain a goodguy badge by merely becoming a vegetarian and doing little else. It works, because it is hard for an outsider to question their motives. And they come to believe their own lie!"

think we are making evolutionary leaps forward, at least some are, hopefully not just some

some people are more in tune with it, i think some people were born with evolutionary leaps because we should have progressed further than we have and these people can have issues functioning in this world due to it's lack of evolution, so a correction is underway which is why a lot of change is going to occur very quickly. positive progress, long overdue.

by progress i do not mean the negative connotation some here have with the word progress / progressives (which in many instances represents negative regression, same as how many instances of conservatives represent negative regression, too)

humanity didn't survive off of killing animals initially

we were gatherers and we knew what to eat and what to grow to eat

this is even alluded to in many religious texts although it is obfuscated with human created dogma designed to trap and enslave us to keep us under control.

we have so much potential, but it's your free-will choice.

I have recently been developing an aversion to beef and chicken on some days, not sure why, I didn’t wish for it or anything

I have been going for days without any meat, I just would rather not have it, I’m still eating meat about 2-3 times a week now but not a couple of times daily like I used to, and it’s a lesser portion

I don’t feel like it’s going to make me morally superior or anything, it’s just something changing with my body’s eating preferences, probably related to menopause, lol
