She's right. It takes away from the major crimes going on. Like accidents, home invasions, robberies, murders, rape and etc.... Atlanta is a big city. They don't have time for that. that's why the stores should have their own security.

That was not really a good statement, plan or policy to release to the open public.
Once it is known there is not police response anything will go or happen, since they can get away after doing it.
They will target the ones who cannot afford the security, making shoppers unsafe to shop there, as well as employees and owners.

They need a marble dispenser, black and white rapid switching strobe light, mirrored walls and ear drum piercing surround sounds that ricochet about.
The last resort would be natural skunk scent direct to the face, full face doused.

Buckhead at one time was filled with beautiful homes on the outskirts of it and lots of old money. It was a very historic side of Atlanta with quaint little shops and not much at all in the way of large stores except for a Sears store. The Historic Fox Theater is there.

There was however a huge adult theater right on Peachtree st in Buckhead.

Then in the 80's blacks started going downtown buckhead a lot. Slowly but surely it wasn't safe to go there any more.

Buildings began to become distressed, gang signs were painted everywhere, it looked like downtown chicago almost.

Sometime in the late 80's i think, a bunch of yuppies all got together to save Buckhead and began to repair it and beautify it .And completely revamped the beautiful Fox theater.

Then it became full of liberals AND blacks. Now its all rap "music" and young stupids everywhere. The small shops are expensive boutiques so I can see why they want police protection for their stores. Wait till the Negroes hear this! There will be no stopping the theft and rioting, and once again it will become an official shithole.

yeah right... a huge percentage of the tax revenues received come from this affluent area and you are going to deny vital services to them? this arrogant police chief doesnt seem to care about the people that actually pay her salary.

I've heard that somewhere else before.

Resources are probably tight and there is probably a shortage of officers. When there was accident on my street it took over an hour for any officer to show up, then when they did show up they couldn't do anything. They had to wait for the private investigator. Then I got called from the detective as to why they were not arrested. When they should have been. lol ;p I had the video of the accident, bunch high schoolers taking a joyride. They probably don't have the resources.

And what are the prevailing politics in such communities?

Are they full of people who think slimy liberals similar to Hillary, etc, should not be treated as wonderful, wise, honorable public figures? Or is it just the opposite?
