Record harvest of Dungeness Crab this year in Newport, Oregon. My brother set nets only weeks ago and limited out quick each day with huge crab. Just sayin...

If the dead sea life theory is true you would expect to see a large increase of the numbers of crabs. The problem is that the sea life the crabs are eating did not die of natural causes.
Eat the crabs at your own risk.
