Good Riddance? Google Wants Out Of Pentagon Project

3,100 Google employees are petitioning the company's CEO to pull out of a Pentagon AI program. The petition signed by over 3,000 employees of the tech giant implored CEO Sundar Pichai to pull Google out of the project which is aimed at utilizing artificial intelligence to improve drone strike accuracy.

So, for the last decade this society and most institutions including government, have pushed people to use the internet for everything from looking and applying for jobs, paying our bills, selling and even filing our fucking taxes. They don't even make tax booklets available for pickup at government buildings anymore. If you don't have a "social profile" it's unlikely you will even get that good paying job you desire.

So that's SO WHAT. If we are forced into this digital world then we should expect the same security and privacy we had without the digital world, that our constitutional rights guarantee, search and seizure, which the FIB is violating, btw.

When you install FakeBook on your phone it gives you a list and asking you permission to grab info from that list. If you click install than you agree to allow them full access to your private information.
This is the same for any and all 3rd party programs and games you install as well..

Exactly. I downloaded my data, it was pretty boring and lacking of info, which is good for me I suppose. I am sure those who are brainwashed into everything that connect all their info and apps to eachother would be more pissed off, but I think most don't give 2 shits as long as they can look at everything.

It's not so much about what you know you are posting it is about how they profile you from what they grab off of your computer files, email, phone calls, searches, website visits...

Here's how it works: MAGA wants to make a Trump vote. They have some memes and fake news or slanted news like "put Hilary in prison" type shit. They drill down the demographic offerings from a 3rd party who collects your data because you or some website you have visited has used facebook. (Facebook is like a virus here--even if you do not have an account it is profiling/tracking/collecting your data)

3rd party (like Cambridge Analytica)says, here is a male. age 25-29. Lives in the Mid-west. Chicago. Wealthy suburb (homes on block sell for 1 mil and up). He buys Tylenol. He drinks local source craft beer. He drives an American car. He calls his mom every other day. He texts his friends constantly.

MAGA ad buyer pays a premium rate to have their anti-Hilary memes appear on someone with this demographic's screens. BOOM.

I use Ublock but I turn it off a lot like for here. Does anyone know of anything that just blocks all forms of Facebook from tracking online? I'm talking about all of it including the insidious that is attached to everything.
