California Department of Motor Vehicles announced that 1,001,000 ILLEGALS have drivers licenses, while automatically registering them to vote.

Voting works in local elections. At a state and national level, it's a farce.

“The driver license application program prevents undocumented Californians from being able to register to vote,” said Jessica Gonzalez, Assistant Deputy Director of the DMV. “Automatic programming will not let them go to the (voter) registration section. It will be automatically grayed out and can’t be bypassed. It will require proof of U.S. citizenship and California residency.”

I don't trust any of the candidates, and I'll be damned if I'm going to "vote" for them when only one other person can cancel my vote.

I've never yet seen an election won by one vote, and I don't trust those who count them.

Statistically, it's a waste of my time. I had to fight with DMV to insist that I NOT be registered under motor voter. I'm sick of the whole charade.

Let me get this straight. The illegals simply need to mark a box saying they are NOT citizens? Aren't some states suing the federal government over a box asking if you are a citizen in the census? So they can ask, but the feds. can't.

Why would they then take the extra couple hundred a month to pay for insurance (their are "without documents", just a license. What are the stats on insurance purchases by illegal immigrants since they got a license? I'll bet darn near zero. Just like the Selective Service Law. Compliance from illegal immigrants darn near ZERO.

Both should be charged, and their not immigrants. Their ILLEGAL ALIENS. Immigrants have gone through the process and hold immigrant visa status, green cards, or have already become citizens.

There are plenty of aliens, legal and illegal who are NOT intending to stay, and therefore are not immigrants by any definition. They are visitors.

The government is complicit in this travesty and needs to be held accountable. The illegal aliens need to be charged with voter fraud for voting. Nobody forced them to and it took effort on their part to do so.

I'm a US citizen and I once got a Texas license and said I didn't want to be registered to vote. They did it anyway behind my back and it took years to get off the rolls. Cali may be the worst, but it's not the only one.

They ask questions about where you were born, and are you a citizen.

When I lived in California, I used the online voter registration. I answered all the questions truthfully and in about two weeks received my voter registration in the mail.

I don't know how much behind the scenes checking goes on at DMV, so it may be very simple to just lie and get registered. I DO know DMV is one of the most corrupt and dysfunctional of the state agencies. Many people enter state service via DMV as there are ALWAYS many openings, it's an awful place to work. As soon as someone is hired and gets on the state rolls, they start looking for a transfer to another agency. I don't hesitate to claim that a vast majority of employees there are liberals. Most state employees are.
