I'm not an optimist, but I'm too ornery to die easily. I don't need detailed plans, as long as corn, beans and potatoes can grow and I can still brew beer, I'll be just dandy.

Just repack it and call it your camping bag, it's still good for that.

If it is a nuclear War I am dead. Prime targets in EVERY direction for 100+ miles ... so if you aren't hit on your head you are going to be poisoned by radiation sickness anyway since it will end up in all the food you will be eating afterwards.

My bug out plan is to bug IN and eat heartily, drink heavily, and watch things unfold on the TV and Internet until those go down, then switch to the Shortwave until it goes down, and then pick up a great book and read it until the end comes.

I am not getting out of here alive anyway ... everybody has to die sometime ... so I am going to enjoy life until the end. (and who that is is older wants to live in the aftermath anyway? let the younger people survive and carry on the species ... but they will have a pretty rough go of it for the first 10 to 20 years after it happens)

On Flight Radar the East Coast is a ghost town.

All planes headed to the middle of the country....Colorado area. Even from the West coast....flights headed to middle of the country.
