USN P8-A POSEIDON SUB TRACKERS N. JAPAN NORCAL SOCAL S. FL ATLANTIC GA COAST MD/VA/DC COAST -- TWO PLANES NJ COAST -- TWO PLANES
Quoting: Adytum What are they looking for? They’re expecting something Quoting: Patriot_In_Waiting If you go back to the earlier pages of the thread, I posted some articles about Russian subs spotted off our coasts, especially on the East Coast and in the Arctic. Our "early warning system" is weakest to our south ... I suspect Russian submarines may try to exploit that Hence, possibly, the number of Poseidons flown over the SOUTHEAST ATLANTIC COAST. Just a theory of mine. Quoting: Adytum Yes I remember the subs off of both coasts recently, this just seems like things have ramped up all of a sudden....or is this pretty much a trend that has been going on for a while? With all of the tension in South America With Russia as well as Syria, there could be something here just below the surface Quoting: Patriot_In_Waiting Very little warning time with sub launched missiles as opposed to land based ICBM's or bombers (very slow). Then there are nuclear torpedoes and such. :tsunami:
