Just imagine if Michael Bolton was all alone with Trump, we'd all be getting some nice suntans
They figured out a long time ago that its much easier to control people when we're all watching the same TV shows, listening to the same radio stations, going to the same movies, looking at the same billboards, eating the same food, and speaking the same language...

It would be to Turkey's advantage to instigate a false flag that would start war between USA and Russia and possibly Israel vs. Iran too.

With those players crippled by each other it would leave the Middle East open to Erdogan's plans for a Caliphate.

Re: Cooler heads prevail, Mattis calms the waters of war
I hope the lessons we learned long ago are remembered.

The Cuban Missile Crisis almost spiraled out of control into a general thermonuclear war. After it was over, analysts concluded it was possible that Khrushev and the Politburo may not have been fully aware that the Red Army had placed nuke IRBMs in Cuba. It is possible that the Army thought such a deployment to be routine.

Kennedy's sea blockade and embargo only gave Nikita a few hours to make a decision. He backed off. This action without Politburo permission may have led to his ouster.

After that crisis, US military planners were very careful in engaging the USSR in direct confrontation.

The current situation is pretty hazardous.

The stakes for Russia are high. If the Gulf Arabs can push a pipeline through Syria, they can bankrupt Russia because they can sell oil and gas BELOW the Russian cost of extraction.

While KSA and others are important allies, I don't think it is worth risking general war for their benefit. After all, the USA is now the energy leader of the world. The Arabs are competitors. We should just sell our oil and gas to the Euros.

I am an old Cold Warrior, so no admirer of the Russkies. Their national interests run counter to ours, especially when they want to re-conquer their empire.

Ive become impressed with Mattis. He seems very measured and slow on the trigger for war. Bolton is who you need to worry about.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
