This resonates with me; I've been thinking about it seriously for for a few years now.

I have to wonder if there is anything like controversy to cause one to advance spiritually (in spirit - higher energy - power universal power).

Except maybe radiation. I was reading a Robert Heinlein book a few years ago that says radiation Is the driving force of evolution. Planets who have little to no evolution do not advance very rapidly (discernible to us).

What I am saying is that every avenue that you get "caught up" in that is not spiritual, will lead to disappointment until you get 'tired' and go spiritual.

Peojple get all caught up in Trump, then he does something that they dont approve of and feel 'let down'.

People who are anti-Trump feel that they are lsoing the battle already.

No matter which issue that you get "all caught up" in is going to lead to disappoiintment, because it is not making you spiritual...although it really is.

By continuing to experience failure in the things that you put your attention to, until you get tired of it, and then start thinking htat there 'must be a better way' or 'tghere must be anohter way.'

Look at it any way you want to, its all making you more spiritual...some will catch on faster than others...others will catch on more slowly...still others will never catch on and will.....perish in all the trumoil, or go insane trying to figure it out.

I agree with you OP....I have known this and lived it since my childhood years.
Never trusted anyone else's judgement blindly....would weigh their argument and make up my own mind what to believe....regardless of their credentials.
I wouldn't be surprised if we are the one who judge our own soul when we leave our bodies.....after all who really knows us better than ourselves.
